A Study on the Performance of Breast Feeding on the Mothers of Rooming-in and Mothers of Rooming-separation

Abstract
|
|
|
The survey was performed on 80 cases of mothers who admitted hospitals in Taejon from Jan. 1 to June 30 of 1996. The research was statistically analyzed according to the percentage, x 2-test.
The result of this study were as follows ;
1. Comparison of duration of breast feeding between mothers of rooming-in and mothers of rooming-separation showed statistical significant difference( x 2=15.73, p=0.001").
2. The relationship between duration of breast feeding and the general characteristics of subjects showed no statistical significance in both group of mothers of rooming-in and mothers of rooming-separation.
3. The relationship between duration of breast feeding and the characteristics of subjects during pregnancy showed a statistical significant difference according to breast management during pregnancy in mothers of rooming-in( x2=8.76, p=0.033´).
4. The reason of breast feeding failing was first ordered insufficient of breast amount in both groups. The planning of feeding was first ordered breast feeding in both groups. The determinants of breast feeding was first ordered self in both groups.
